NLCIL DISTRIBUTES EDUCATIONAL KITS TO SPECIAL CHILDREN IN CHIDAMBARAM

New Delhi, Nov 26: NLCIL has been a driving force behind positive change in the society through its robust CSR programs, aspiring to make a transformative contribution.

In line with this vision, NLCIL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Department, the Neyveli Ladies Club and Women in Public Sector (WIPS), NLCIL jointly organised a program on 20-11-2024 to provide welfare assistance to the special children of G.V. Special School for the mentally retarded located in Chidambaram.

The G.V. Special School for the mentally retarded is managed by M/s. G. Vagheesam Pillai Trust, Chidambaram. This Special School was started in 1990 and provides training and rehabilitation to the special children.

Radhika Prasanna Kumar, President, Neyveli Ladies Club presided over the function. Patrons of Neyveli Ladies Club, Divya Suman and Chitra Venkatachalam participated in the event where Educational Kits consisting of School bags, notebooks, stationery items and sports materials were distributed to 106 special children of the G.V. Special School, Chidambaram.

Dr. S. Vijayakumari CMO/NLC GH & President, Women In Public Sector (WIPS), Neyveli Chapter, Neyveli, Officials from the CSR Department, NLCIL, Office bearers of Neyveli Ladies Club and the WIPS also participated in the function.

The members of the Neyveli Ladies Club and WIPS, through their kind gesture of meaningful donations, wished the special children a bright future.
