Nagpur: Special judge SA Shrikande, dealing with cases under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, sentenced a 34-year-old man to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine after finding him guilty of raping his own 12-year-old daughter. The case was registered in Hingna in 2022, following which the man was arrested.
The survivor was raped by the accused on two occasions, with threats to remain silent about her ordeal or face dire consequences.After raping her on July 27, the man exploited his daughter again on August 3 after bringing her home from school. The prosecution was represented by additional public prosecutor Rashmi Khaparde.
