Kanpur: Two shopkeepers clashed over the placement of merchandise in front of their respective establishments in a marketplace in Auraiya on Sunday. The incident was reported from Homeganj locality under the limits of Sadar Kotwali police station area.
Both parties soon engaged in a street brawl, exchanging blows and kicks. A video of the fight went viral on social media.
ASP Alok Mishra confirmed that authorities registered a case regarding the clash between the two shopkeepers near in Kotwali Auraiya area.
He said, "The incident occurred when a shopkeeper, Anil Kumar Porwal, and his neighbouring shopkeeper, Pawan Kumar, along with his two aides, Sunny and a minor boy, had an argument about placing goods outside a shop.." Anil Kumar Porwal filed a complaint in this regard, said SP further, and added, "A case has been registered against three individuals – Pawan Kumar and Sunny – under section 170 of the BNS. As for Lucky, who is a minor, legal action will be taken as per juvenile law." tnn
