DVC pays special tribute to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on the occasion of Constitution Day on 26th November

New Delhi, Nov 26: The Constitution Day was observed today in a befitting manner at DVC Headquarters to honor the adoption of the Indian Constitution on 26th November 1949 by the Constituent Assembly of India. This year marks a significant milestone as DVC joins hands with the nation to commemorate 75 years of the adoption of the Indian Constitution.

Floral tributes were offered with reverence to the Chief Architect of the Indian Constitution , Dr. B. R. Ambedkar who played a pivotal role in the drafting of India’s Constitution, advocating for social justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

Later, Guest lecturer Professor Dr. Shameek Sen, WBNUJS deliberated on the topic of “ Constitutional Values and Fundamentals of the Indian Constitution” wherein he specifically stressed upon the importance of discharging our duties or “ Kartavya” towards the society and the nation as a whole and to inculcate the values of compassion and kindness towards our fellow beings.

 

As a gesture of honor and respect and to promote awareness of the Constitution, the Chairman, DVC, Shri S. Suresh Kumar, IAS led the executives and employees in reading out the Preamble to the Constitution of India.

The program concluded with a reverent and soulful rendition of the National Anthem of India.
