Chennai: Police arrested four individuals in separate incidents for possessing methamphetamine in Padi and Washermenpet on Sunday and Monday. A total of 70 grams of meth was recovered from the accused.
In Padi, police conducted surveillance following leads from five suspects arrested last week for possession of methamphetamine. During the operation, two men, Venkatesh, 41, and Govardhan Reddy, 39, were detained on Sunday after they were found lurking around in a suspicious manner.

A search revealed 64 grams of methamphetamine and 6 lakh in cash. The duo was arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
In another operation at Washermenpet, acting on a tip-off, police apprehended S Basheer Ahmed, 51, and R Harish Babu, 50.
Officers recovered 6 grams of meth from their possession.
