Huawei Mate X6 launched in China; know the price and features 

The newest foldable device from Huawei, the Mate X6, was launched in China. The book-style foldable phone has two displays: a 6.45-inch outer display and a 7.93-inch primary display.

Three outward-facing cameras are housed inside a circular camera island on the Huawei Mate X6, which is available in five different colours. For resistance to water and dust, it has an IPX8 grade.

The Kirin 9100 SoC is thought to power the phone, however Huawei has not disclosed the chipset. The normal and Collector’s Edition versions of the Huawei Mate X6 are available. More battery capacity and support for triple-network satellites are features of the latter.

Features of the Huawei Mate X6

With a 7.93-inch (2,440×2,240 pixel) internal OLED display, 1440 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and a touch sampling rate of up to 240 Hz, the Huawei Mate X6 is powered by HarmonyOS 4.3. A 6.45-inch (1,080×2,440 pixel) quad-curved OLED external screen with up to 300 Hz touch sampling rate and 1440 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming is featured on the phone.

The adjustable refresh rates of the main and cover screens range from 1Hz to 120Hz. The screens are protected with Kunlun glass. The Huawei Mate X6 Collector’s Edition is protected by second-generation Kunlun glass, which is tempered with basalt.

Although the new Huawei foldable’s chipset is not specified, it is widely assumed to be the most recent Kirin 9100 chip. The Huawei Mate X6 comes with 256GB or 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. The Mate X6 Collector’s Edition comes with 512GB or 1TB of storage and 16GB of onboard RAM.

Triple-network satellite capability is available with the Collector’s Edition. The Huawei Mate X6’s optics include a 48-megapixel telephoto macro camera, a 40-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera with OIS capability.

The phone has two 8-megapixel cameras for taking selfies. Both the inner and outside displays have them arranged. The phone is water and dust resistant, with an IPX8 grade. The Huawei Mate X6 has Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/AGPS, NFC, GLONASS, Beidou, NavIC, OTG, and a USB Type-C port for charging, among other connectivity features.

Among the sensors aboard are a barometer, temperature sensor, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, colour compass, fingerprint sensor, camera laser focus sensor, gesture sensor, gravity sensor, hall sensor, and proximity sensor.

A 5,110mAh battery featuring 6.6W wired fast charging, up to 50W wireless fast charging, and 7.5W wireless reverse charging is included in the Huawei Mate X6. The battery of the Huawei Mate X6 Collector’s Edition is 5,200mAh. It weighs about 239 grammes.

Price of the Huawei Mate X6

The 12GB + 256GB model of the Huawei Mate X6 costs CNY 12,999, or about Rs. 1,50,000. The cost of the 512GB storage model is CNY 13,999, or approximately Rs. 1,64,000 in Indian rupees. In contrast, the Huawei Mate X6 Collector’s Edition costs CNY 14,999 (about Rs. 1,75,000) for the 16GB + 512GB model and CNY 15,999 (approximately Rs. 1,85,000) for the 16GB + 1TB model.

Cosmic Red, Deep Sea Blue, Nebula White, Nebula Grey, and Obsidian Black are among the colour choices available.
