Patiala: Police here on Monday apprehended the primary suspect in a recent SUV robbery case after a brief shootout. The accused, identified as Sarover Singh alias Lovely of Nabha, sustained injuries in the shootout. On Nov 21, a Nabha resident was robbed of his SUV by some individuals on the pretext of a test drive. A case was registered at Kotwali police station in Nabha following a complaint by Chirag Chabra, the owner of the vehicle.

Singh has a history of dacoity, snatching, and Excise Act violations.
