Patna: The final results of the 69th combined examination of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) were declared on Tuesday. Altogether 470 candidates passed the examination.
While Ujjwal Kumar Upkar topped the list, Sarvesh Kumar and Shivam Tiwari were second and third toppers, respectively.
All three toppers had preferred the coveted post of deputy superintendent of police (DSP) as their first choice.
As per the results uploaded on the BPSC website, a total of 17 candidates were declared successful for the post of DSP, one for district commandant, jail superintendent (4), sales tax assistant officer (3), sub-election officer (4), excise superintendent (5), sugarcane officer (2), Bihar education service (2), assistant registrar, cooperative societies (7), employment officer/district employment officer (6), labour employment officer (63), supply inspector (33), block panchayati raj officer (28), revenue officer (168), and block SC, ST welfare officer (18).
As per the merit list of the BPSC, the only woman candidate in the top ten list was Kranti Kumari with sixth rank. She has got the post of revenue officer.
The interview for the final shortlisted candidates was held between October 15 and October 20. The advertisement for the 69th BPSC was published on June 27, 2023 and after the completion of the application process, prelims were held on September 30, 2023, followed by mains in January this year. Mains results were declared in August.
