It was Reshma's sister, Shaheen, who proposed the idea of kidnapping a boy. The trio targeted Haseena Begum, whose infant son, Saqlain, was being treated for jaundice at the hospital.
On Saturday, while Haseena's mother was holding the baby in the hospital, Shaheen distracted her, allowing the baby to be taken. After Haseena reported the kidnap, Nampally police quickly formed five teams and tracked the suspects using CCTV footage. The accused were apprehended by Gadwal police, and the infant was safely returned to his parents on Sunday.
