Vadodara: A youth from Madhya Pradesh was arrested by the special operations group (SOG) of city police with 78g of mephedrone (MD), worth nearly Rs 8 lakh, from a ground in the Manjalpur area of the city.
SOG had been keeping track on suspected peddlers in the city when it received intelligence about the youth from MP. Sleuths were told Shabbirhussain Mansuri had come to the city in the morning by train from Mandsaur and had gone to Sitabaug ground in Manjalpur.
SOG personnel reached the ground and arrested Mansuri and seized the MD.He was allegedly waiting to deliver the drug to someone. Police are looking for three others who are involved in peddling the contraband.
