Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that Madhya Pradesh currently contributes 9% of India’s total milk production and aims to increase this to 20%. Speaking at a high-level meeting at Samatva Bhavan, Dr. Yadav emphasized strengthening the cooperative milk sector and expanding organized milk collection efforts.

The meeting was attended by Animal Husbandry Minister Lakhan Patel, MLA Hemant Khandelwal, Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, NDDB Chairman Dr. Meenesh Shah, and senior officials. Discussions focused on enhancing cooperative societies’ performance in villages and implementing action plans in underserved areas.

Highlighting the role of farmer producer organizations, Dr. Yadav proposed revising cooperative rules to meet current needs. He also welcomed Dr. Shah, marking a reinforced partnership with the National Dairy Development Board.
