Gurap (Hooghly): A girl who had gone missing was found bleeding and unconscious at her neighbour's home in Hooghly's Gurap on Sunday and died late on Sunday. On Monday, the neighbour was arrested on rape and murder charges. An autopsy will be conducted and the accused presented in court on Tuesday.
The girl's father was unable to find the minor on Sunday evening.A few hours later, she was traced to the neighbour's home. She was unconscious and bleeding profusely. The father called the police, who took the girl to a local hospital in a patrol van. The minor was declared brought dead. Police arrested the neighbour and formed a special team led by the Dhaniakhali circle inspector to probe the case expeditiously.
