Rajasthan Royals (RR) bagged Bihar batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi, 13, for ₹1.1 crore in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction on Monday to make him the youngest player to get sold in the history of the competition.



Suryavanshi scored a double century in an India U-19 match against their Australian counterparts recently.

He has made five appearances in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Bihar. Suryavanshi began his domestic career for the senior team against heavyweights Mumbai, and will now be heading to RR, where he will play under the guidance of seasoned coach Rahul Dravid.
