Kanpur: The police have arrested a solver gang member's aid for using frauduelent means during Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET ) examination conducted in the city in 2023. The suspect had been evading arrest since then.
The CTET examination was conducted at RCRD Girls College, under Sachendi police jurisdiction, on Feb 3, 2023.The police apprehended Vipin Kumar, of Sonapur village, Narpatganj police station, Araria district (Bihar), son of Deep Narayan Mehta during verification.Vipin had pasted his photograph on Om Prakash Sharma's admit card and Aadhaar card, leading to his arrest from the examination venue.
The case involved another suspect, Om Prakash Sharma,Om Prakash Sharma, son of Parshuram Sharma, from Pipra Patti Bahorapur village under Pakdi police station, Ballia district, remained elusive for several months. Following a tip-off, the police conducted a verification drive and successfully apprehended him from his residence in Pipra Patti Bahorapur village, Pakdi police station, Ballia district, subsequently placing him in judicial custody on Saturday. tnn
