Mysuru: Karnataka State Backward Classes Awareness Forum president KS Shivaramu announced that the Siddaramaiah Swabhimani convention will be held in Hassan on Dec 5.
Addressing a press conference, he said that the convention aims to demonstrate Ahinda classes' support for chief minister Siddaramaiah, who faces unfounded accusations from opposition parties.

He noted that opposition forces are attempting to destabilise state govt through the misuse of central investigating agencies and the governor's office.
Shivaramu highlighted that the Congress candidates' success in the bypoll was a result of Ahinda classes' unified voting. Despite opposition campaigns making unsubstantiated claims against the CM, Ahinda voters supported Congress candidates, he said.
Hassan was selected as the venue due to its central location within the Mysuru division, facilitating easier access for attendees. The event was initially planned for Mysuru two months ago, but was relocated to Hassan.
A preparatory meeting for the convention, led by MLC Yathindra Siddaramaiah, is scheduled for Nov 29 in Mysuru.
Congress functionary Ananda noted that Siddaramaiah has gained national attention for successfully implementing poll guarantee schemes.
The forum also issued a warning about potential black flag protests against the Udupi Pejawar Mutt seer if the seer continues to make statements against Dr BR Ambedkar.
Ahinda leaders Mogannachar, Mysuru Basavanna, Abhinanda, and Lokeshkumar Madapura were present.
