Bengaluru: A 33-year-old man in west Bengaluru allegedly murdered his wife and fled with their four-year-old son Friday evening.
Ghousia Bi, 31, was found dead in her residence at Gangondanahalli Third Cross near Chandra Layout.
Police have identified the accused as Imran Khan, a welder, who allegedly strangled his wife with her dupatta. According to family members, Khan had been suspecting his wife's fidelity.

The couple had been married for five years.
The crime came to light when Khan displayed unusual behaviour at his workplace in Tumakuru on Saturday morning. He approached his supervisor requesting emergency funds, raising suspicions among the staff. His employer, Ismail, who knew the victim's family, alerted Ghousia's brother about Khan's behaviour.
Worried about his sister's well-being, Ghousia's brother sent a friend to check on her after she failed to respond to phone calls. After multiple attempts to reach her throughout Saturday, the friend finally entered the house around 11pm only to discover her lifeless body on the bed.
Police have registered a murder case under Section 103 (punishment for murder) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). Initial investigation suggests Khan is on the run with the couple's four-year-old son, and his mobile phone remains switched off.
Law enforcement officials have launched a manhunt to apprehend Khan and ensure the safety of the child. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is urged to contact local authorities.
