New Delhi: LG VK Saxena has approved the posting of 232 general duty medical officers (GDMO-Doctors) in various hospitals of Delhi govt as per the vacant positions. These doctors were appointed by UPSC as part of efforts to fill vacant positions, following LG Saxena's directions, said Raj Niwas.
"Appointed as Group ‘A' officers, their postings have been done through the NCSSA, and they will be placed at various hospitals including Lok Nayak, Raja Harish Chandra, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Hospitals, etc., and various other CDMO offices," said the LG House.

"It is expected that these appointments will bring relief to the situation caused by inordinate delays over the past many years in the appointment of permanent doctors," it added. Several hospitals in Delhi govt have had vacant positions for years. The issue also led to disagreements between AAP govt and Raj Niwas this year. tnn
