Patna: The RJD, headed by Lalu Prasad, expects at least two cabinet berths in Jharkhand's new govt after the party put up a splendid performance in the just-held assembly polls. However, sources said the party would have to contend with one seat.
A senior RJD leader said the party expects at least two ministerial berths in the Hemant Soren govt, which is to take oath soon.

"Although berth distribution is the prerogative of the CM, we expect at least two," state party spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav told TOI on Sunday.
He added that his party fought the elections as part of the INDIA bloc and fully supports the Hemant Soren govt. He said his party would join the new govt. In the previous Soren govt as well, the lone RJD MLA was inducted as a minister in the govt.
