Madikeri: The Kodagu District police arrested three persons on charges of selling ganja at Gundurao Layout in Kushalnagar.
Kodagu SP K Ramarajan stated that police received complaints from the public regarding the sale of narcotics in the tourist town. A team of police led by Somwarpet sub-division DSP Gangadharappa, Kushalnagar police inspector B G Prakash, and SI HT Geetha raided a public ground in Gundurao Layout on Nov 23.
The SP stated that the cops found narcotics being sold near the public toilet.He stated that Syed Anwar, 39, from Periyapatna in Mysuru district, Nayan, 19, and Manjunath, 21, of Kushalnagar were arrested on charges of selling ganja.
He stated that they seized 98gms of ganja and a two-wheeler used for the crime from the trio. They were produced before a local court.
