Chappra: A joint team of Saran district administration and mining department on Sunday morning conducted a surprise raid at Singahi ghat under Doriganj PS area and seized four trucks overloaded with sand. The team also arrested six people, named nine others in the FIR lodged with Doriganj PS and slapped a fine of Rs 33.55 lakh on the seized trucks. A district administration official said the trucks were found violating mining rules.
