Jind: To take stock of preparations for state-level Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti celebrations to be held at Eklavya stadium in Jind on Sunday, Haryana minister of social justice and empowerment Krishna Kumar Bedi, and public works minister Ranbir Gangwa, visited the venue on Saturday.
The ministers instructed officials to ensure no stone is left unturned in making the event a success. Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini would be the chief guest at the event. Several state ministers, MLAs, and thousands of people are expected to attend the event.
Bedi directed officials to create separate blocks for men and women at the venue. He stressed on the need for sufficient drinking water, temporary toilets, electricity, cleanliness, flower decorations on the main stage, parking of vehicles, security arrangements, and other amenities at the venue.
He added that under the Sant Mahapurush Samman and Vichar-Prasar Yojana, the state govt has decided to celebrate the birth anniversaries of all saints and great personalities, spreading their teachings.
