Representing the Ajit Pawar faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) is Sana Malik, the daughter of veteran leader Nawab Malik. According to data released by the Election Commission of India, in the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections, the estimated voter turnout in this Maharashtra constituency was 54.00%. In 2019, this seat registered a turnout of 55.11%, while it was 46.78% in 2014 and 46.13% in 2009.

Anushakti Nagar is a part of the Mumbai South-Central Lok Sabha constituency. Sana Malik, the daughter of incumbent legislator Nawab Malik, represented the Mahayuti alliance from the Ajit Pawar faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), leading with over 2,500 votes as of 10:30 am, according to data from the Election Commission of India.


Fahad Ahmad contested for the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) from the Sharad Pawar faction of the NCP is trailing at the six rounds of counting. There will be 20 rounds of counting for this seat in suburban Mumbai.

In 2019, Nawab Malik of the then-undivided NCP won the Anushakti Nagar constituency after receiving 65,217 votes. He defeated Tukaram Kate of the Shiv Sena (SHS), who secured 52,466 votes.

In the 2014 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Tukaram Kate won the seat after receiving 39,966 votes, narrowly defeating Malik, who got 38,959 votes.
