T'puram: Traffic restrictions will be in place on the Shanghumugham-Kannanthura-Kochuveli road due to a procession as part of the festival at Madre De Deus Church at Vettucaud on Saturday and Sunday, informed the city traffic police in a press note issued on Friday.
Parking of vehicles will be restricted on roads at Shanghumugham, Kochuveli, Vettucaud St Sebastian Church, Balanagar, and LP School for two days. Using recovery vans, police will remove vehicles parked in restricted zones, and legal measures will also be initiated, it said.
All vehicles from Shanghumugham and Kochuveli will be diverted through alternative routes. The public is urged to schedule their journeys accordingly by avoiding these roads during the procession.
The restrictions will be in place from 4pm till 10pm on Saturday and 9am till 3pm on Sunday.
