Ajmer: The marble hub of Kishangarh city will now receive drinking water supply every 48 hours in every zone.
The public health engineering department (PHED) of Friday issued orders to increase the water supply by 2 millions of litres per day (MLD) from Bisalpur dam. The department decided to increase water supply after the minister of state for agriculture and farmers' welfare and the local MP of Ajmer intervened.
Ajmer MP Bhagirath Choudhary said that while visiting Kishangarh, his hometown, he received regular complaints that even in winter, residents were not getting drinking water. "I held a meeting with officials and asked them to immediately raise water supply to Kishangarh," he said.
