Ajmer: Two children, aged 9 and 10 years, died on Thursday when they drowned in a pond in Kaledi village. Both children were at school and had gone out to use the toilet when they slipped into the pond. The teachers allegedly did not try to find the children when they did not return to class. Villagers saw a body floating in the pond, retrieved both children, and rushed them to the local govt hospital, where there was no doctor. The villagers then took them to JLN Hospital in Ajmer, where they were declared dead. Villagers alleged that the teachers of the school were irresponsible and demanded action against them.
Bali, studying in class 4, and Nemi, studying in class 5, went to the govt primary school on Thursday morning. After the class break, both went out of the school campus to use the toilet. Villagers allege there is no proper toilet inside the school.
