Hisar: A student and three others were injured after unknown criminals opened fire on a school van at Sirsa’s Nagarana village on Thursday morning. The injured have been admitted to Sirsa Trauma Center. A few hours after the incident, the police arrested two accused and recovered a car and two weapons used in the crime from their possession. According to sources, the attackers were held at a naka set up by the police. “On Thursday morning, a private school bus was coming towards Nagarana village with 8-10 students. However, some people stopped the bus by parking a tractor in front of it, and forced the bus driver. Shots were fired after the bus stopped,” said a local.
DSP Adarshdeep Singh said that one accused have been identified as Satnam Singh, a resident of Nagarana, and the other one is a minor. “The arrested accused tried to escape by hitting a police vehicle. We have recovered a car and two weapons used in the incident. Accused Satnam Singh will be produced in court and taken on remand,” the DSP said.
