Jodhpur: As a result of a technical glitch in the system, consumers have not been able to pay their electricity bills since Nov 20, the last day for the spot billing project in Jodhpur. Jodhpur discom had launched the project on pilot basis at Boranada B-5 sub-division on Nov 8.
TOI tried to contact the AEN concerned but the call remained unattended.
Jodhpur discom MD Bhanwar Lal said he has put the IT team to the task to resolve issue. "With completion of integration with Bharat Bill Pay System by Nov 22, online payment shall start. Presently online payment through bill desk is live. Bill due date can be extended by subdivision on request," he said. tnn
