Vehicle collision kills man, flips concrete truck on Woodville Highway

A 46-year-old man driving a van died after colliding with a concrete truck Tuesday afternoon in south Tallahassee.

The loaded concrete truck flipped over during the crash, and its driver, a 70-year-old man, was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, Florida Highway Patrol Spokesperson Patricia Jefferson-Shaw said.

Law enforcement is flooding the intersection of Woodville Highway and Belair Road, and the road was blocked in both directions, Shaw said as of 5:15 p.m. Wreckers and tow trucks arrived at 4:50 p.m. to begin cleanup.

The owners of the concrete are also on the scene trying to clear the spilled concrete before it hardens.
