Maharashtra Voter Turnout Latest Update: 58.22%% voter turnout till 5 pm, Mumbai lowest

Maharashtra Voter Turnout Latest Update: Voting began at 7 am across all 288 assembly constituencies and will continue until 6 pm. The counting of votes is scheduled for November 23. More than 9.7 crore voters are eligible to cast their ballots, selecting from 4,136 candidates contesting the elections.

As per election officials, By 5 pm on election day in Maharashtra, voter turnout reached 58.22%  during polling across all 288 state assembly constituencies.


Mumbai recorded the lowest participation at 49.07%, while Gadchiroli saw the highest turnout at 69.63%.

In Mumbai city district, Mahim registered the highest voter turnout at 55.23%, while Colaba recorded the lowest at 41.64% after five rounds of polling.

By 1 pm, the Gadchiroli district recorded a turnout of 50.89%, while the Armori assembly segment reported 51.05%. Aheri district recorded a voter turnout of 52.84%. In the Mumbai suburban region, voter turnout stood at 30.43%, with the suburb of Bhandup registering 38.75%, Dahisar 35.60% and Bandra East 25.03%.

Mumbai City reported a turnout of 27.73%. Colaba recorded 24.16% voter participation, while Mahim and Worli registered 33.01% and 26.96% respectively. Kopri-Pachpakhadi in Thane, CM Eknath Shinde's constituency, saw a turnout of 32.21%.

Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis 's Nagpur South-West constituency saw a voter turnout was 31.12% till 1 pm, while Pune's Baramati recorded a 33.78% turnout.

Polling commenced on Wednesday with the ruling BJP-led Mahayuti alliance seeking to retain power and the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) aiming for a significant comeback.
