Ahmedabad: The city traffic police issued a notification for traffic diversion on Shastri Bridge between Narol Circle and Vishala Circle. The notification was issued following the repair of the expansion joints and bearings of the bridge.
The traffic police notification stated that no vehicles will be allowed to travel on one side of the Shastri Bridge from Narol Circle to Vishala Circle until Dec 31. The notification stated that two-, three- and four-wheelers can travel on the other side of the bridge. However, heavy vehicles will have to take a detour and use Dr Ambedkar Bridge, then head to Pirana Crossroads.
Heavy vehicles coming from Sarkhej towards Vishala Crossroads, Pirana Crossroads and Narol Circle should turn left from Sarkhej to Bakrol Circle, then left onto Sardar Patel Ring Road, turn left at Kamod Circle towards Pirana Crossroads, or go straight from Kamod Circle to Aslali Circle, turn left, and continue towards Narol Circle.
