Prayagraj: To ensure an uninterrupted water supply across the vast mela area, authorities of UP Jal Nigam are installing 15 new tube wells and repairing 70 existing ones. 85 tube wells will ensure 24-hour water availability during the Maha Kumbh, benefiting kalpvasis, seers, akharas and administrative camps.
Executive Engineer Amit Raj said, "The initiative, backed by a budget of Rs 11 crore, includes the installation of 30 generator sets and stabilisers to maintain steady water flow."
Additionally, a comprehensive network of pipelines is being laid to connect pumping plants with all sectors. The project is on track for completion by Nov 30, ensuring uninterrupted water services throughout the mega event.
