NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the amid brisk in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Thinkink Picturez(20.00%), IVP Ltd(19.99%), Shri Gang Industries(19.99%), Jindal Worldwide(19.96%), Megri Soft(19.96%), Keerthi Ind(19.96%) and Multibase India(18.60%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 239.37 points up at 77578.38, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 64.71 points at 23518.5.

In the Nifty50 index, 26 stocks closed in the green, while 24 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Multibase India, Joonktollee Tea, CarTrade Tech, Siddha Ventures Ltd. and Tokyo Finance hit their fresh 52-week high, while Taylormade Renewable, Honasa Consumer, Pressure Sensitive Systems, Hinduja Global and Cressanda Sol touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
