Retired government employees are now required to apply for pension through online mode by submitting the new Single Pension Application Form 6-A.

This new application method, introduced by the Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), makes the process of claiming pension simple and quick through a user-friendly online experience. It came into effect on November 6, 2024.

How do pensioners apply for it?

While retiring employees could submit their pension applications via paper mode earlier, they now have to submit it online for the smooth processing of their cases.

The Single Pension Form 6-A allows retirees to fill in details like their personal information, Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) account, and bank account information, all in one place.
