Rajkot: The regular bail application of former Rajkot Municipal Corporation assistant engineer, Jaydeep Chaudhri, was rejected by a sessions court here.
Chaudhri is one of the accused in the TRP Game Zone fire. He stated in the application that he was innocent and was not involved in the gaming zone directly or indirectly. Considering the objection of the prosecution and the victim's lawyers, the court rejected his bail application. A total of 27 people were killed on the evening of May 25 in a fire that broke out at TRP Game Zone. According to the prosecution's case, Chaudhri, along with another accused, created backdated forged documents in RMC's West Zone office the day after the incident. They allegedly showed a forged file being inward for the regularization of the TRP Game Zone and made the outward register disappear.
