Ara: A 36-year-old assistant manager of a state-run bank died by suicide early Monday at his rented house at Jagdevnagar under Nawada police station of Ara in Bhojpur district, over an alleged domestic strife with his wife.
The deceased, Sujai Saha, a resident of North 24 Parganas district, West Bengal, was posted at the Charpokhari bazaar branch of the bank. His body was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his house.
Talking to the TOI, the Nawada SHO Vipin Bihari said, “As per our initial investigation, Saha had a bitter quarrel with his wife Monday morning. After the quarrel, he locked up his wife in a room and died by suicide in another room.”
Saha’s wife managed to unlock the door and found out that the other room was locked from inside, he said, adding. “Despite knocking repeatedly, the door was not opened. She raised an alarm and the house owner informed the police about the incident.”
