Patna: One Raja Ram Choudhary (35) was shot dead by his relatives over a minor dispute that occurred at Terasi Tola village under Mufassil police station area in Munger district on Monday.
According to police, Raja Ram lived with his brother, elderly mother, wife and children. His 80-year-old mother, Arula Devi, complained to Sudama Chaudhary, a distant relative, that her sons were not taking proper care of her.
"On Sunday evening, when Sudama visited their home to advise Raja Ram and others, a heated argument ensued between them. Raja and his brothers pushed Sudama out of the house, saying it was a family matter. Angered by this insult, Sudama, along with his sons, arrived at the house on Monday morning and opened fire on Raja Ram, killing him on the spot," said Sadar SDPO, Rajesh Kumar.
The SDPO said three shots were fired. One of the bullets hit Raja Ram's chest, causing his instant death. After some time, police arrived at the village and sent the body for postmortem.
"An FIR has been filed against Sudama and his sons—Raveen, Citu, Pankaj and Dilip. Raids are being conducted to nab them," added the SDPO.
