Varanasi: A physiotherapy unit was launched at the Chola Community Health Centre by Ajgara MLA T Ram on Monday to expand the services provided to patients. The centre is equipped with state-of-the-art machines.
A mega camp under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana was also organised at CSC Cholapur, where Ayushman cards were issued to people over 70 years of age. He stated that thousands of people in the area would benefit from this physiotherapy centre. Patients will now find relief from bone pain right at the hospital. Ayushman card will empower the elderly, eliminating the need for dependence on others for medical treatment.
CMO Dr Sandeep Chaudhary mentioned that under the supervision of CHC superintendent Dr R B Yadav, patients will benefit from the physiotherapy centre. With this, residents of Cholapur and Harhua Block will no longer need to visit private physiotherapy centres, ensuring timely treatment and financial savings. Dr Yadav shared additional equipment for physiotherapy unit is being procured. For the first time in the district, such advanced machines for physiotherapy have been introduced at a CHC. Efforts will be made to provide relief to patients using these machines. Additionally, physiotherapists will explain various exercises for muscles. Physiotherapy can also eliminate the need for pain medication for many patients.
