Lucknow: Claiming that ‘beti, maati, roti' (daughter, land and bread) in Jharkhand were under threat from Bangladeshi migrants and Rohingyas, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday said that the JMM-led coalition has encouraged infiltration and now "bulldozer is on standby to reclaim looted funds".
Addressing three rallies in Jharkhand on the last day of campaigning, he said that the temples of Lord Ram, Krishna and Baba Vishwanath were demolished in the past because Hindus were divided and added that "Lord Ram has been enthroned in his temple, and Baba Vishwanath and Lord Krishna would not stay quiet either".
"Infiltrators from Bangladesh pose a serious threat to ‘roti, beti, maati'. They captured resources meant for locals through ‘love jihad' and ‘land jihad'. JMM and Congress swindled central govt funds. Bulldozer is now on the standby to bring back the money looted by them," he said.
Yogi addressed his first rally in Rajmahal assembly constituency, seeking support for sitting MLA Anant Ojha. His second rally was held in Nala constituency from where the BJP has fielded Madhav Chandra Mahato. The last public meeting was held in Deoghar in support of sitting MLA Narayan Das.
Repeating his controversial slogan of ‘Batenge to katenge', Yogi said: "Why was the temple of Lord Ram demolished five centuries ago? Why was Lord Krishna temple destroyed in Mathura? Why was Baba Vishwanath's temple demolished in Kashi? Because Hindus were divided on caste lines."
Accusing the Congress and RJD of opposing the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Yogi said that the BJP managed to find a solution to the 500-year-old issue within just two years. "Now, that Lord Ram has been enthroned in his temple, Baba Vishwanath and Lord Krishna will not stay quiet either."
Highlighting corruption under the JMM govt, the CM said that funds sent by the Centre for development of Jharkhand were found in the homes of JMM minister Alamgir and his staff. "This amount was so big that the counting machines overheated. At least 70 machines were required to count the money," he said.
He said that the Congress, JMM and RJD derailed development envisioned by late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for Jharkhand, leaving the resource-rich state lagging behind.
"After Nov 23, when NDA would form govt in the state, every paisa looted by these parties would be recovered and used for the welfare of the people of Jharkhand. Infiltrators will be kicked out from the state," he said.
Highlighting illegal activities in Rajmahal, Sahibganj and surrounding areas, he accused the opposition of turning these regions into safe havens for Bangladeshi infiltrators and Rohingya Muslims. "They are promoting ‘love jihad' and occupying land in the name of ‘land jihad'. There is no such thing in UP. If anyone dares to do this, they will face consequences," he said.
"Under the double-engine govt in UP, infiltration, cow slaughter, and crimes against women are unthinkable. Anyone attempting such acts is guaranteed a one-way ticket to hell. Only BJP can act against such elements," Yogi said.
He reiterated the promises made by BJP for Jharkhand, including Rs 2,100 to women, unemployment benefit, houses under PM Awas Yojna, one truck of free sand for construction of houses for the poor and 1.5 lakh govt jobs.
"The current govt is promoting illegal mining and the sand mafia are destroying Jharkhand's resources, due to which the common man is struggling. Illegal activities are pushing citizens into poverty and ruining the lives of youth," he said.
