Chandigarh: Punjab govt is all set to launch a project to identify and establish the milk recording potential of the Holstein Friesian cows for boosting profitability of dairy farming sector in the state. Punjab animal husbandry and dairy development minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian said this project worth Rs. 5.31 crore would kick off in Dec 2024 and its supervisors, along with local staff, would identify eligible cows for milk recording. The milk yield of 13,000 Holstein Friesian cows would be recorded in 90 villages in three districts. TNN
