Hyderabad: BRS working president and former minister KT Rama Rao is likely to be in Delhi on Monday. Those opposing the land acquisition to set up a pharma village in Lagacherla, along with affected parties and farmers, plan to file a complaint with the SC and ST commission and KTR will accompany them.
Farmers and those affected by the land acquisition have already reached the national capital. KTR will travel to Delhi tomorrow evening and personally go to the commission with the farmers to file the complaint. Recently, farmers opposing the setting up of pharma village in Lagacherla allegedly attacked the Vikarabad collector and officials during a public hearing programme.
The govt took the incident seriously as it occurred in CM Revanth Reddy's constituency, Kodangal. Consequently, several individuals responsible for the attack were arrested and sent to jail.
BRS sources said KTR will address a press conference in Delhi on Monday evening. TNN
