Bamhani (Gumla): Don Bosco School's sports competitionKhel Utsav' captivated spectators with its Olympic-inspired format on Saturday. The event, though organized for school students, mirrored the Olympic Games with its ceremonial flag bearing the five interlaced rings and the traditional torch run.
The ceremony featured a display of flag hoisting, a vibrant march past, drill performances, and a patriotic chorus that drew widespread appreciation.
Students participated through four houses - blue, green, red, and yellow - further subdivided into A, B, C, and D divisions based on classes, showcasing remarkable sporting spirit in their respective events.
Commandant Rajesh Singh of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) 32 battalion inaugurated the event. In his address, he said, "Sports transcend mere games or entertainment. They are intrinsically linked to health and holistic development, fostering essential qualities like coordination, teamwork, and mutual support."
