Gaya: A scrap dealer, Md Jahoor Mansoori, of Iqbal Nagar under Kotwali police station in Gaya district, sustained injuries in a blast at his scrap shop near Tilha dharamshala under civil lines police station on Saturday.
According to reports, the blast occurred when Jahoor opened a bag, while sorting out scrap materials. His both hands got injured in the blast. He was referred to the Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital after providing first-aid at the JPN hospital.
At the time of the blast, Jahoor was alone in the shop.
SSP Ashish Bharti said, "Apart from ASP town Parasnath Sahu, a bomb disposal squad and the FSL team were sent to the scrap shop to conduct an inspection of the shop and to inquire whether any other bomb was there. The FSL team collected samples to inquire about the type of explosive that caused the blast. Investigation is being done to ascertain how the blast occurred," he said.
