Nagpur: Rajya Sabha MP and senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh said PM Narendra Modi has meted step-motherly treatment to Maharashtra. Singh, who was in the district to address a few rallies in support of MVA candidates, said Modi has failed to fulfil promises made during previous polls as well.
"Modi has taken away Rs2 lakh crore worth of investments from Maharashtra. Step-motherly treatment given by him to this state," said Singh.
When asked about BJP's campaign theme on "batenge toh katenge", Singh said, "I want to tell everyone in Maharashtra, ‘Na batiye, na katiye, mil kar BJP ko rapatiye (don't get divided, instead unite and throw out BJP)."
Singh said Modi's poll promises are hollow. "He said everyone will get Rs15 lakh, petrol and diesel prices will come down and two crore jobs will be created annually. Ask him to show proof that 20 crore jobs have been created in last decade," said Singh.
While talking about farmers, Singh said "We had been told that farmers income will double under Modi's rule. Has that really happened?"
