CM's Office gets makeover after two decades
After nearly two decades, the Chief Minister's office at Vidhana Soudha has undergone a facelift, reportedly costing Rs 2.4 crore. The last renovation took place during SM Krishna's tenure (1999-2004). The refurbishment includes luxurious wooden interiors, advanced lighting, and high-end furniture. BJP criticised the move, calling it a case of misplaced priorities. "Karnataka is struggling to finance key public welfare schemes, and this splurge sends the wrong message," a BJP MLA said.
