Nagpur: Union Ministers Kiren Rijiju and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat attended the 25th anniversary of the Dragon Palace Temple which was celebrated with great pomp and show on Friday.
Sulekha Kumbhare, former Maharashtra Minister and founder of the Dragon Palace, said, "The Dragon Palace Temple is a wonderful place of peace and inspiration. Lord Buddha's teachings provide a new direction to our lives."
Rijiju said, "Whenever you need peace, come to the Dragon Palace Temple in Nagpur and feel Lord Buddha. Respected Sulekha Tai Kumbhare ji, with the support of the Ogawa Society of Japan, has made this Buddhist centre magnificent. My greetings to lakhs of Buddhist followers."
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said, "I offer my prayers to Lord Buddha at the Dragon Palace Temple in Kamptee."
Kumbhare further said this event will also give the celebration an international projection, raising awareness among Buddhists worldwide about the commitment and support of the people of Maharashtra towards Buddha Dhamma and its practice.
Several cultural programmes were organized on this occasion. A large number of devotees participated in the event.
