Coimbatore: City police commissioner V Balakrishnan inaugurated the renovated office of the bomb detection and disposal squad (BDDS) at the commissionerate here on Friday morning.
The BDDS of the city police had been functioning in a four-decade old building. City police commissioner Balakrishnan directed to renovate the old building to create space for the office of the BDDS team, chamber for (Special Intelligence Cell) SIC, assistant commissioner of police and SIC inspectors of police.
The renovation work was carried out for more than three months.
