New Delhi: Govt has suspended the CGHS empanelment of 19 hospitals which were found involved in fraudulent activities. They had raised forged bills. Some were found admitting CGHS beneficiaries with their family members simultaneously and periodically.
"The CGHS beneficiaries already admitted in the hospital prior to the issue of this order shall, however, continue to be provided treatment at CGHS rates till completion of their treatment. Their bills are to be submitted to national health authority or department concerned, as the case may be, with justification for consideration and payment," the order issued by CGHS said.
Most of the hospitals affected are based out of Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad. CGHS is the nodal healthcare provider to around 42 lakh central govt employees, pensioners and certain other categories of beneficiaries.
