India vs South Africa LIVE Score, 4th T20I Updates: Samson, Abhishek provide solid start; IND 68/0 (5)

Coetzee is back into the attack, replaces Simelane. The dropped catch has costed big time for the Proteas. Abhishek is on song, unbeaten at 32 off just 15 balls. Oops! Coetzee walks off to get medical attention! Looks like he pulled his thighs. 

Sipamla continues. 

Andile Simelane replaces Jansen. Towards middle and leg, and full, Abhishek advances down the track and smokes it over covers for a huge SIX! It’s out of the ground! That brings up India’s 50 as well. He follows it up with a wide down the leg side. Slow and short, Abhishek takes his sweet time and smokes it for a SIX! Down the leg this time, Abhishek comes down the track, looking to loft it over covers but it takes an outside edge and runs past Klaasen for a FOUR! Down the leg again, Abhishek steps out, converts it into a full toss and lofts it for a SIX! 

Lutho Simpamla replaces Coetzee. Slightly short, Samson doesn’t time this well but the ball bisects the midwicket region and goes for a FOUR! Fuller, slower and towards the leg stumps, Samson lofts it, doesn’t go the distance but just enough power to clear the infield, a double. Slower one and back of a length, Samson smokes it over midwicket for a SIX! 

Jansen continues. Short and wide down the legside, the ball goes out of reach of Klaasen behind the wickets and runs away for a FOUR! Abhishek moves away from the stumps, Jansen adjusts the length and takes the pace off, Abhishek clears the infield but Coetzee makes a brilliant save near the boundary rope to save a couple of runs. Two consecutive short ones and Abhishek is beaten on both occasions. Short again and this time its pulled for a SIX! 

Gerald Coetzee is in to bowl the second. Samson on strike. Coetzee pitches it slightly short and the ball comes in towards Samson, who defends it on the backfoot. Another short one from Coetzee, Samson plays a pre meditative pull over deep mid wicket for a SIX! Short again and Samson is beaten this time. Coetzee is following the same strategy as last match but he found little success with his short ball ploy. Fuller this time, wide down the leg side. Full, wide outside off, Samson plays a late cut through the point region for a FOUR! The over comes to an end with a dot

Jansen starts off with a wide down the legside. Hint of swing right away. Unlike the last two matches, Samson is taking things slow, taking his time to assess the bowler. Pitched straight and angled away from the batter, takes an outside egde off Samson and goes inches away from Hendricks at slips. Samson survives and is off the mark with a single! ANOTHER CHANCE GOES DOWN! It’s Hendricks again, Jansen went wide outside off and full, Abhishek tried to drive through covers but edged it. The ball travelled towards Hendricks at an awkward height and he squandered a chance. Jansen finishes the over with a bouncer as Abhishek gets hit on the helmet

Rinku Singh’s batting slot and circumspect approach must be a cause of concern for the India team going into the deciding fourth T20I against South Africa as the side aims for another bilateral series victory on Friday.
