Guwahati: Assam directorate of vigilance and anti-corruption on Friday arrested a police officer in Hailakandi. The officer was allegedly caught red-handed while taking bribe to provide relief to the complainant from a case.
ADGP (directorate of vigilance and anti-corruption) Surendra Kumar informed on X, "Today @DIR_VAC_ASSAM trapped red handed ASI Khurshed Ali of Abdullapur Patrol Post, PS-Lala, Distt-Hailakandi, near the Patrol Post, immediately after he accepted bribe from the complainant for giving him relief in a case."
