Chandrapur: Former Rajasthan deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot urged voters to support Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) candidates in the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections, describing it as a crucial step to restore development and good governance.
Addressing a rally in support of MVA candidate Pravin Kakde in Bhadravati, Pilot emphasised the importance of voting out the Mahayuti government, which he accused of promoting corruption and failing to address rising crimes against women.
Addressing the rally on Wednesday evening, Pilot said Maharashtra plays a pivotal role in India's political landscape and that a secular and development-focused government is essential. The responsibility lies with each of us to elect candidates from the MVA, he said, adding that Kakde is a capable representative of the people who is committed to sustainable development in the Warora constituency.
Pilot also criticised the current government's handling of the economy, noting that several industries have relocated to other states. He urged voters to participate actively in the ‘fight for power change' by casting their ballots on polling day
The rally saw the presence of prominent MVA leaders, including MP Pratibha Dhanorkar and MLA Abhijit Wanjari among others.
